WHAT I STAND FOR
Many of the challenges we face today — ecological, social, relational,
and personal — are deeply interconnected.
Therefore, leaders are being asked to lead and create differently.
We have learned how to sustain performance.
How to optimize.
Scale.
Push through.
Create more.
Move faster.
However, many people who are building systemic answers and examples
of the more beautiful world, are still operating from the same patterns.
Disconnection from yourself.
From your loved ones because you choose a different path.
From place.
From the living systems that sustain you.
And perhaps most painfully...
disconnection from ways of living and leading that allow both people and ecosystems to truly thrive.
Because success without the capacity to hold the complexity you work with will drain you.
Impact without communal and systemic sustainability becomes extractive.
And leadership without rootedness slowly disconnects us even more from ourselves, our communities,
and what we are actually trying to steward.
We're asked to transform our ways of living and working. From being in control to being in relationship:
with ourselves.
With others.
With place.
With complexity.
And most importantly with life itself.
This philosophy sits at the heart of my work.

My Idea of leadership
If you want to weave collaborations across generations, cultures, educational levels,
Co-creating systemic solutions from the depth of place-based wisdom, and land-based knowledge,
And create that future you Know is possible...
You're invited to embrace the beauty and complexity of life that is now, more than ever, asking you to:
Slow down, especially when it feels urgent,
Listen without judgement,
Build relationships first before creating a 'solution',
Ground your mindset in possibilities instead of limits and expectations,
Meet uncertainty with greater trust.
Learn how to create impact without abandoning your own needs in the process.
Leadership shapes culture, communities, relationships, and lands,
Therefore, it shapes the future of us, our children, grandchildren and generations that haven't been born yet.
This means:
The way you create and lead matters.
What you normalize matters.
The mental, economic and social systems you operate in and build matter.
However, I see many visionaries, entrepreneurs, changemakers, and investors that preach this
still revert to reproducing extractive patterns within ourselves, our relationships, and our businesses/ organisations.
Even though we are aiming to create the systems that we envision to be the answer to the global challenges we face.
Therefore, the leadership of today is not striving for perfection,
but for reconditioning yourself and learn the skills that transform:
Fragmentation → coherence
Overextension → sustainability
Control → stewardship
Hyper-independence → reciprocity
Disconnection → belonging
This is why the Companionship in Complexity bridges:
systems theories ↔ embodiment
leadership ↔ ecology
wealth ↔ reciprocity
vision ↔ grounded implementation
community ↔ strategy
inner transformation ↔ structural change
So you build the capacities necessary to hold and work with the complexity,
while becoming the good ancestor that future generations rely on.

Learning through lived ecosystems
How do people, communities, and ecosystems truly thrive?
Over the years, this question has taken me to very different worlds. From corporate environments and impact-driven organizations to regenerative communities, grassroots initiatives, ceremonial spaces, and place-based projects all around the world.
From a young age, I've felt most at home in places where people still live in close relationship with land, community, food, ritual, and the rhythms of life. Therefore, rather than choosing one path, I found myself learning how to bridge worlds:
Sustainability science and Kith and Kinship Wisdom
Strategy, business, and intuition.
Mindful Leadership and Responsible Stewardship.
Systems thinking and Holistic Embodiment.
Capitalism and Reciprocity and Belonging to place.
During the last 15+ years, I have worked across regenerative ecosystem building, sustainability advisory, leadership coaching and accompaniment, holistic wellbeing, facilitation, and community-rooted initiatives. All focused on creating conditions for long-term flourishing. For the last 4+ years, I've dedicated my energy to growing the impact of the bioregional learning center Los Higuerones and co-creating the structures of the Regenerosa Collective in Costa Rica.
This hands-on bioregional work has deeply shaped how I view bioregional regeneration of cultures, soils, waters and wealth, including the future in which I see people and ecosystems flourish together.
Not as an idea, but as lived practice.
Over the last decade+, I've accompanied 500+ visionaries, community leaders, and (young) changemakers
in navigating complexity, transition, or meaningful responsibility. Virtually and in-person. Through conversations and hands-on assisting. My work has often been described as grounded companionship that is practical and liberating:
A space where complexity is unraveled.
Where overthinking softens
Where vision reconnects to what is your tangible next step.
Where the next step comes from within.
Where you receive hands-on support to realize that step when your own hands are not enough to carry the weight.
Please don't expect traditional coaching.
Nor conventional consulting..
My work invites you to enter a space where complexity is held with honesty, discernment, and care.
Where you receive hands-on support in unravelling and regenerating the way you lead.
Because I simply care about helping you to reconnect with all the value that makes our lives possible,
so you can lead — and live — in coherence with the possibilities that she gives..
Testimonials
The Companionship that living a meaningful life that is true to my heart is not something done quickly, but woven with patience in co-creation with life.
Not to use this as an excuse to postpone, but an invitation to feel deeper into what next step is calling you and summoning the courage to take it.
Deborah
The Companionship helped me integrate that deep down I can trust myself.
Iris is an incredibly intuitive and empathetic guide who can help you find answers that your mind might not have on the surface
Doma
Iris her biggest strength is that she speaks from a very deep and embodied place.
Her heart language is powerful, honest, and sometimes confronting in a beautiful way. Not everyone will immediately understand it, because many people operate from a very different worldview — but the people who do resonate with it will likely feel deeply seen and moved by your work.
